One of the most fascinating bazaars not only in Lahore but also in Pakistan, Anarkali Bazaar was named after the famous courtesan of Akbar's court called Anarkali (Pomegranate Blossom). The bazaar is a place where you can experience a harmonious blend of art and commerce.

Anarkali bazaar is famous for its traditional crafts like leather ware, embroidered garments, glass bangles, beaten gold and silver jewellery, and creations in silk-anything.

Apart from the shops and large number of vendors and buyers, some famous historical landmarks constitute a dynamic panorama of the place. The most famous of the historical monuments located here is the tomb of Emperor Qutbuddin Aibak, who died falling off his horse, while playing polo. The tomb of Malik Ayyaz, General of Mahmud Ghaznavi is also located in the bazaar.
